Installation and sign-in
Installation and updates
Install automatically with install.sh on Linux or macOS, or install.ps1 on Windows. You can also install the binary for your system manually.
The recommended command is curl -fsSL https://get.deplomo.com/install.sh | sh. On Linux and macOS, the script detects amd64 or arm64 architecture and downloads the appropriate file from https://get.deplomo.com .
The default installation directory is /usr/local/bin. If the current user cannot write there, the script uses sudo when moving the binary. Set DEPLOMO_BIN_DIR to install elsewhere.
For manual installation, download deplomo_<os>_<arch> from the releases page, make it executable with chmod +x, and place it on your PATH as deplomo. On Windows, use the PowerShell installer below, or download deplomo_windows_amd64.exe, rename it to deplomo.exe, and place it on your PATH.
After installation, check the installed version with deplomo version.
Sign-in, sign-out and tokens
Authenticate with your Deplomo account and use tokens in CI.
Run deplomo login. The CLI displays a short code and opens the Deplomo confirmation page in your browser. Compare the code in the terminal with the code on the page and approve sign-in. The CLI then receives its token automatically. You never enter your password in the terminal, which also makes it easier to let an AI assistant use the CLI safely.
If the browser does not open automatically or you are working on a remote machine, deplomo login --no-browser prints the address for you to open. If you already have a token, deplomo login --token dpl_... saves it. For machines without a browser or an existing token, deplomo login --password uses the older email/mobile and password flow.
The token is stored in ~/.config/deplomo/config.json. deplomo whoami shows the current account, and deplomo logout removes the configuration file.
To connect to another API, use deplomo login --api <url> or DEPLOMO_API. The default is https://api.deplomo.com .
In CI/CD, store the token as a secret and supply it through DEPLOMO_TOKEN at runtime. You do not need to run deplomo login in that case.
Quick installation
The install.sh script detects the operating system and architecture, downloads the appropriate binary and installs it in /usr/local/bin.
curl -fsSL https://get.deplomo.com/install.sh | sh
deplomo versionQuick installation in Windows
Run this command in PowerShell. The install.ps1 script downloads the amd64 binary, verifies it against checksums.txt, and installs it in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\deplomo without requiring administrator access. It also adds this directory to your user PATH. To choose another directory, set $env:DEPLOMO_BIN_DIR before running the installer. Run the command again to update the CLI.
