Connect Cursor to Deplomo with MCP

Connects Cursor's built-in agent to live project and service data from Deplomo, so its answers reflect the actual state of your infrastructure. MCP retrieves current service information from Deplomo, so the agent can respond based on the actual state of your service.

terminal: cu

$ deplomo setup agent --agent cursor

→ MCP configured in .cursor/mcp.json

→ Deplomo usage guide installed

✓ Ready to inspect existing services

Connect in three commands

Install the Deplomo CLI and sign in first. The third command adds the MCP configuration and Deplomo usage guide to your project.

Install the Deplomo CLI

curl -fsSL https://get.deplomo.com/install.sh | sh

Windows (PowerShell):

irm https://get.deplomo.com/install.ps1 | iex

Sign in to your Deplomo account

deplomo login

Connect Cursor

deplomo setup agent --agent cursor

The third command saves the Deplomo connection in .cursor/mcp.json . If Cursor is open, restart it after setup.

Example prompts for an agent

These example requests illustrate how an agent can inspect available information about an existing service. Service creation and deployment are currently paused; access depends on your client, account, and permissions.

«Check this code repository, find its service in Deplomo and deploy the new version.»
«Read the service's runtime logs and find the cause of the database connection error.»

How to connect Cursor to Deplomo with MCP

AI-focused code editors have become part of many developers’ workflows. Cursor combines an editor with AI features such as chat, codebase analysis, and assisted file editing. The available features depend on your Cursor plan and settings.

Connect Cursor to cloud services with MCP

For workflows involving cloud services, Cursor can connect through the open Model Context Protocol (MCP) to PaaS service Deplomo PaaS tools. Available actions depend on the configured client and permissions; service creation and deployment are currently paused.

Set up Cursor and configure .cursor/mcp.json

To configure Cursor to connect to Deplomo, run this command in your project terminal:

deplomo setup agent --agent cursor

The command creates or updates .cursor/mcp.json at the project root and registers Deplomo’s MCP server with Cursor. After setup, you can ask the assistant about available actions for a service; service creation and deployment are currently paused.

Where Cursor fits among AI coding tools

Among the range of AI coding agents , Cursor is a popular option for developers who want an editor with built-in AI assistance. If you prefer a terminal-based workflow, see the guide for Claude Code ; for Google’s multi-agent environment, see the guide for Gemini Antigravity . Compare their workflows to find the right fit.

Access comes from your Deplomo CLI session

Cursor No separate token is needed. Secret values are not displayed in tool responses. Check the requested resource and environment, and review the action before running it.
